SELECTION PROCESS FOR A PATROL OFFICER OF THE FRANKFORT POLICE DEPARTMENT

All applicants for Patrol Officer of the Frankfort Police Department must be at least 21 years of age, a United States citizen, and a graduate of an accredited High School and possess a valid driver’s license.

(A) Selection Process

  1. Applicant must submit a complete and correct application;
  2. Physical Agility Test;
  3. Written Examination (There will be a $15.00 fee the day of the exam)
  4. Oral Interview;
  5. Personal History Investigation;
  6. Background Investigation;
  7. Criminal History Investigation.

(B) Conditional Offer of Employment

  1. Polygraph examination;
  2. Medical examination;
  3. Drug test;
  4. Psychological screening.

Applicant must attach the following documents to their application:

  1. Copy of Driver’s license;
  2. Copy of birth certificate;
  3. Copy of High School/College Diploma.
